Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone can help,

I'm arriving in Madrid in two weeks time and I'm looking for temporary accomodation for a week or two until I find a job (and therefore know where I need to be living full time) so I'm looking for a B&B, Hostel, Pension anything with a single room available and a shared kitchen that the guests can use.....


Does such a thing exist????

I've looked, no luck so far.... :unsure:

Hi Iano --

Sorry for the delayed response to your query.. with Christmas holidays in between I was busy wrapping/opening up presents and giving lots of hugs and kisses to my niece and nephew!  :D

I just checked out LOQUO  and came up with the following LINK which lists flats/rooms available for rental on a per day basis.

I also googled the search term \"aparthotel madrid\" and came up with THIS LIST. Hopefully these will be good starting points for you.

I also recommend that you check with Madrid Insider as he also deals with housing rentals... although I am not sure if he has the kind of accommodation that you are looking for.

P.S. if you need help with the Spanish, let us know. Tony and I (and I am sure others) would be more than happy to jump in and help you out.  ;)

Hola!

Just wanted to publically thank Rebecca for her help on this one...I got in touch with a very helpful guy called Rocco Salata via the Madrid Insider website who has set up some a bed for 3 weeks on the Paseo del Prado, near Atocha. :)

Quite reasonable, average is about E100+ a week. Rooms seem to be clean enough, with a shared kitchen and bathroom. I'm moving in next weekend so hopefully all will be well. Rocco kindly offered to show me around the place and then gave the option of contacting a separate agency near the Plaza Castilla who may have other similar rooms near the Santiago Bernabeu and Estrecho metro stations if I wans't pushed on moving into this one.

Any teachers needing short-term accomodation with amenities check the web-site out....
