Where to live in Barcelona?
« on: August 28, 2002, 02:35:00 PM »
Hi all

I\'m looking to move to Barcelona at some point (next 6-12 months) and just doing research about which areas to look at for living in...

I heard El Born was quite fun but I\'m wary of places that mainstream Newspapers call "cool"- they are normally about 2 years too late! (Prices high, too many BMWs)

I like areas that are bohemian, lively, with a bit of (multi)culture but reasonably safe. Sort of like a SOHO (NY or Lon)...

I will be coming over in a few weekends time to do a very quick scan to get a feel for a few places...

Any suggestions as to where I should look at?[addsig]

I\'d definitely check [!-- BBCode Start --][A HREF=\"http://www.barcelona-metropolitan.com/\" TARGET=\"_blank\"]Barcelona Metropolitan[/A][!-- BBCode End --] They have some great apt ads. I\'m hoping also our new correspondent in BCN will drop by and offer some of his advice...
