As long as I have been flying back and forth to Spain I have NEVER encountered a problem with buying a one-way ticket from USA to Spain. My husband, however, who\\\'s Spanish, had problems buying a one-way ticket from Spain to USA. But really, I\\\'ve never heard of not being able to purchase one-way.

NO one asked anything, if I remember correctly. And if they did, I simply said I was arriving to be with my husband. Every time I passed through customs it was effortlessly.

:)) The key is not looking like a terrorist or a whacko, I guess!

Hey bluebwoy, go ahead and get the one way. They will not even ask for the return ticket and if they do, tell them you are going to make your way through Europe to the Middle east to see friends or relatives and fly back from there.

When I cam over here to live in Madrid 6 yrs ago, I bought a one way... no problems.
