Hello all- Since I've just about given up on canterbury english I'm now just looking into other TEFLs. What about this online TEFL certificate that costs 295$? I've heard it's not bad, but will schools accept it as they would any other certificate? Especially in Spain?
I'll take any info I can get about finding a job in Spain  (22 yr old female) going alone. What about just going  and looking for a job? Any hints would be much appriciated!! thanks   :D

I've heard only good things about i-to-i (that's why I advertise them on my site!).  And as far as their program gaining you results, that's never really been determined. I would suggest writing to them and asking about anyone who may have gone on to teach in Spain. They may be able to put u in contact with someone who can better answer the question.

If you have NO EXPERIENCE teaching English to non-native speakers, then I'd HIGHLY suggest you do some sort of training, informal or otherwise.  i-to-i is a great start, especially if you do not plan to make teaching English your career.

Besides, the less experience and education you have, the less chance you'll have of finding decent work.

Are you N/ American or British? If you're N. American you'll have even less opportunity.

Have you read Tony Vargas' interview? YOu might want to find out what academy directors are looking for--  see first article, front page
