Anybody know anything about how medical treatment works for non-EU citizen? On this same issue, please comment on differences if you\'re living there legally vs. legally. As an American, would my best bet be purchasing an \'expatriate policy\' from a US-based company?

There\'s no free health care in Spain.  If you\'re employed by a company and working legally you can pay Spanish social contributions which entitle you to health care and a Spanish Pension.  Otherwise you have to take out health insurance.  Sanitas is the main provider here and pretty reasonable.[addsig]
