Barcelona vs. Madrid
« on: February 19, 2002, 10:40:00 PM »
Hola to everyone!

I am a 24 year-old girl (If I can still get away with calling myself a \\\"girl\\\" at this age!) who is planning to move to Spain and look for work this Fall, most likely in September...

I am very curious about the differences in lifestyle between Madrid and Barcelona and was wondering if anyone could possibley give me a few descriptions about what it is like to live in both cities.

I am hoping to find a job teaching English to children (and have noticed many opporunties to do this in Barcelona mainly) and look for an apartment, etc...

If I end up in Madrid, I would love to somehow hook up with Vieve and Naranjo and share an apartment or at the very least, get in touch with both of them!

If anyone could give me some advice about chosing a city to live in, I would greatly apprecaite it!

Muchisimas Gracias!

Hola Vieve!

Thanks for writing...I will definetly keep you posted on my plans, since meeting up and finding a place together in Madrid would probably ease both of our minds, knowing we weren\\\'t in it alone!

If you would like to e-mail me and chat in more depth, you can write to:

Lisi, one thing, \\\"amiguita\\\" is with a \\\"u\\\" between the \\\"g\\\" and the second \\\"i\\\". Sorry, once a Spanish teacher always a Spanish teacher.

Well girls, I am a recently turned 30 year old boy and I think the solidarity thing you have going kicks \\\"culo\\\".

Hope all your dreams come true!

Let us know if you end up meeting up and don\\\'t forget to meet me for a taa or 2... or 3... or 4... or.......
