I thought this post would be helpful to orient you all to our advertising policy here on the forums of Expatriate Café.
For those of you who want to subtly advertise your business through your participation, there is a free option available to you. Simply include the website of your business in your signature.
No call to actions please. For example, do not put To visit the best store in Madrid, click here or anything of that nature. Everytime you make a post, your weblink will appear. This is our way of thanking you for being participants on our site. Note, however, that posting trivial messages just to get your weblink up more often not only makes you/your business look bad and cheesey, but it is also abusive and therefore prohibited.
Also prohibited is the advertising of third parties through your signature. If you have a business and a sponsor of your website, you cannot promote that sponsor through the signature functions of the Expatriate Café. If that sponsor is also interested in exposing themselves to the forum members they can either contact us regarding banner ads, or become regular forum participants and include a weblink in their own signature. You can update your signature in your profile.
