I am losing my patiences with this program slowly.

I am a first year auxiliar in Casariche, Sevilla hoping to renew and stay in Sevilla. I live with other auxiliars and a few weeks ago we all received letters at our schools stating that we can start the renewing process. I went ahead and got all my documents together, did my online application and sent my hard copies to the Junta of Andalucia. Last week another letter arrived at my school for me stating that I am NOT allowed to renew my position with the Junta of Andalucia - that I must apply through the Ministry of Education in Madrid as if applying for the first time ever. I am not guarenteed a spot in Andalucia for the following year and if I am picked to participate in the program next year I can be sent to any community.

Has anyone else received this letter? If so - why? I am so confused and no one is giving me answers.

Ugh, that is awful. I am not renewing this year, so I hadn't heard. Though a friend of mine did mention something about a discouraging letter. It must have been this. Sorry no words of wisdom to send your way. The renewal process has changed every time I've done it.

Knina,

I am a first-year auxiliary in Málaga province and I am reapplying for next year.  I have not received this letter, and as far as I know none of my Málaga friends have either.  However, I am still waiting for a letter to come to my school from the Junta telling me exactly how to reapply.  I will let you know what I find out.

I was given a letter yesterday (dated 23 Feb) that explained the renewal process. It said that to renew in the same center or to change to another location within Andalucía, that the documents should be submitted to the Consejería de Educación but that to change to a different Comunidad Autónoma the docs would have to be sent to the Ministry of Education in Madrid. The letter also emphasized the program's preference for new people stating that since I've been an auxiliar for at least 2 years (4 actually) that I would less likely be chosen to continue than someone renewing for just a second year.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you want more specific info.

Saludos,
Stacy

Everything finally got sorted out. I was put in contact with Pablo Mateu (pablo.mateu@educacion.es) in Madrid and he really helped me out. I have received my placement already for next year.
