Working in Barcelona..(I hope!!) :o)
« on: September 13, 2009, 11:12:36 PM »
Hola a todos! I'm new to this website but it looks very good!

I was wondering if somebody could give me some advice about working in Barcelona..I'm Italian/British (I'm dual nationality with Italian I.D. card and English passport) so I assume I shouldn't have any problems living or working there legally..

Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, I wasn't able to go to University so I don't have a degree..  :'(   ..It seems to be the "be all and end all" if you don't have one, is that true?  :-\ I have done a 120 hour TEFL course and at the moment I'm studying to get a Montessori qualification..I'm also planning to do the Cambridge TKT before August next year and the CELTA in Barcelona (November 2010)..

I'm studying a lot to try and make up for my lack of University qualifications..but would this be enough? I have been working with children, teenagers and adults in Italy so I have some experience, even though there is still SOOO much to learn!! I prefer working with children which is why I'm doing the Montessori course and would like to do the CELTYL once I've got the CELTA..

I would be very grateful for any advice or comments, be it good or bad..  :D

Thanks!  Take care,  Je..  ;)

Hi Kate, sorry about the delay answering your message!  :-\

I'm not in Barcelona yet, I was planning to go there in October this year but now I'm not sure if I can go..I might have to postpone it until February 2011..I hope that it all goes well for you! I'll keep my fingers crossed!! Take care!

Best wishes,

Jennifer..  :)
