Hi all,

i am just arriving in Sevilla to join the merry band of CELTA students through to December 23rd. As a Leeds Utd fan, I would like to catch some even better football whilst here. Does anyone go? Is there a group of English supporters? Any tips?

Thanks
Sean

Not sure if the football is even better here. Despite their incredible talent, the players prefer to spend as much time as possible on the ground faking injuries and/or complaining to the refs. The level of sportsmanship is so bad that I don't let my kids watch.  I know that people go to O'Neills in Viapol and Tex Mex in the centro to watch international matches on TV.

As for going to see the matches in person, Sevilla usually has some tickets available at the stadiium office in advance, but not for the big games.  I'd NEVER buy from a scalper on the street as the tickets are often false or reported stolen or otherwise an unusuable rip off.  Betis is in second division now and you can get into any match you want.

Good luck in your CELTA course!
