Hello everybody,
I am interested in doing the Language and Cultural Assistant Program for next year (October 2010 to May 2011). I graduated this past June with a B.A.
I want to get TEFL certified to increase my chances of tutoring and other teaching opportunities while I am there.
From looking at this board, it seems that physical classes are much better than online classes.
I am thinking about doing the TEFL certificate program at a community college.
The TEFL Program consists of 54 hours of physical, in-class, instruction. It is for 15 weeks, with class once a week for 3 hours and 20 minutes.
You can see information about this Community College's Program here:
http://www.sbcc.edu/education/courses/As this will require time and money, do you think this is worth it? How do institutes in Spain and other countries view a certificate from a physical US community college?
