I am a freelance translator from Spanish to English based near Malaga. I have recently realised that many English teachers also speak excellent Spanish and would perhaps be good translators with practice and guidance, and they often have a ready made client base amongst their students. I am basically offering to help get you on the track towards a career in translation (which can be combined with teaching). The deal is that you "bring" me a translation project by email, you translate it, I check it and make changes as necessary, and give you feedback. The client is then invoiced and I get a percentage to be agreed upon in advance. I am very fair, very honest and can provide many references. This is a way to help people get started in the field and also bring in some more work for me too! I can also help you with your first invoices, creating quotes, etc. And if your level of Spanish is too low but people ask you for translations from Spanish to English, you can pass the project on to me and I will give you a percentage. A bit like you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours... I also offer proofreading and editing. Interested? Let's talk! Sarah
