I'm doing the Ministry of Ed's North American Language and Culture Assistants Program and will be living in a rural village of about 800 people. It seems pretty far from any cities (at least 15-20 miles to the nearest small city, and probably 60-70 miles to Toledo), so I don't know if commuting is an option for me, especially given that I won't have a car and I've heard the area has poor public transit. I can't seem to find any information about how to secure housing there. As far as I can tell there aren't any hotels in this town, so I don't have any idea where I'd even stay while looking for a place. Anyone out there been in a similar situation or have some advice?
