Hello, my name is Simona (Canadian) and I just got accepted in the North American Language and Culture Assistant Program. They have emailed me saying that I need a Schengen visa, but everywhere I have looked says that Canadians and Americans don't need it. I am currently teaching in Riyadh and have contacted the Spanish embassy here and they have said the same thing. I am not planning on returning to Canada before the start of my contract in Spain in October, so I'm trying to figure out the visa details beforehand to see if this will be a problem or not. Can you generally get a visa whilst travelling? Any help appreciated! Thanks
