Looking for assistants to help with recording project
« on: July 31, 2008, 10:36:00 PM »
Sensory, Inc. is a speech recognition technology developer based in California.  Our technology is used in a number of well-known household products (Hasbro, Mattel, and BlueAnt are just some of our customers).  We are currently recruiting native Spanish speakers in Spain to participate in a series of recording sessions as part of our internal product development.

Do you know any native Spanish speakers who are interested in helping us improve the way speech recognition technology works?  We can offer you €40 for EACH participant you refer to us.

The recording itself takes approximately 40 minutes per person, and involves reading a list of short words and phrases (all in Spanish).  A Sensory linguist will be visiting most large cities in Spain to make the recordings during October and November, so you have plenty of time to spread the word!

Once you begin teaching, or if you are already in Spain as a tutor or babysitter, keep in mind that we are also looking for about 100 children between the ages of 6 and 12 to participate in the same project.  We can offer €20 for each child you refer, and the recording only takes about 10 minutes.
