Hiya Phil!

Would love to meet up with ya'll. What've you all been "discussing". I'm a freelance (autonoma) teacher and have been living in Spain for eons and am probably older than most of you. But, I could probably offer a different perspective to your meetings.

Behind you all the way Phil.  We have found that collaborating has really helped our business.

My latest stress and strain is banking.  We are finding it difficult to find a bank that supports small businesses and doesn't cripple us with bank charges - Any ideas would be gratefully received.

We are always happy to help anyone who is mad enough to set up their own business and needs a help, support or just a large vodka

Thanks

Hi Natasha,

If you don't mind me asking, who do you bank with?

I use Caja Madrid and while they aren't the most competitive out there I find their charges manageable. I have been with them for over 6 years personally and nearly 5 years professionally. I deal with the branch right up the street from my office and have a good personal relationship with the cashiers as well as the bank director.

In fact, they recently offered me a nice line of credit to use for my business if I needed it.

Hope that helps!

Thank you for the advice - we have booked a meeting next week to have a chat with them. We are currently with La Caixa and just find them really unflexible and on many occassions rude.

Sorry for not getting back on soon but have been away doing some intensive courses.

Merry Christmas  (santa)
