Visa Validity After Termination Of Contract?
« on: August 22, 2006, 04:09:27 AM »
Good day,

My question is that if I am granted a 12 month contract, apply for a visa, and am given a working permit...  What does the law state if i terminate employment with the original firm?  Is there a clause in which i must stay employed with the said firm for the entire 12 months?  Is it possible to quit retain the visa and find employment elsewhere?

Thanks for your help!

Hola ddoonie,

Welcome to the cafe!  As far as your legal question goes, I think you should probably ask an immigration attorney.

But in the mean time, have you visited the website of the Spanish Consulate?  They have a page on visa info, *~*~Click HERE*~*~ .

I did a quick google search on international immigration lawyers Spain and found this site FindLaw.com and they have a bunch of links to answer questions about Spanish law.

Hope that helps  :)
