Hi guys!

Just wondering if anyone can share their experience with becoming an autónomo in Spain? What steps do I need to take if I wanna become one and how long does the process take? Any other info, remarks or web links are more than welcome.

Cheers!

Hi dabeer,

In what part of Spain will you be working? Will you be working as an English teacher?

If you speak/read Spanish, I recommend the following websites.

Ventanilla Única

Cómo Hacerse Autónomo

Hacerse Autónomo

If you don't control Spanish well enough yet, let me know and I will translate the basic information for you.

As far as my experiences are concerned, it was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made and have not regretted it since. Working autónoma allows me more freedom and independence. I control my hours, my rates and my earning potential is unlimited...limited only to the time that I want to dedicate to teaching.

Let us know how it works for you!

Good luck!

Hi Rebecca!

I'll be working in Valencia, obviously as an English teacher.

Great thanks for the links, and though I'm still struggling with my Spanish I'll have a look at them and try to get the info I need. If I can't manage I'll turn to you for help once again.

This forum is soooo helpful! Cheers everyone!
