Telmo,

I tried sending a message over the message board but it was returned.

I long to live and work in Spain, specifically Madrid. I\'ve been hunting for a job from the US for about a month and it appears to be difficult. I am an environmental engineer so I\'ve been focusing on engineering jobs but it appears easier to find work teaching English. I am conversational in Spanish having worked in Ecuador 4 years ago (I\'m on the verge of learning future and conditional). I\'m thinking of getting a student visa and hunting for a job in Spain. Do you have to return to your home country to get a work visa or can it be done in Spain.

Thanks,

Rarchibald [/BLOCKQUOTE]

Yes, you will have to return to your own country to secure the student or work visa.  Just read the threads on this post and you will find out all of the information that you need.
