Money question?
« on: May 05, 2005, 08:44:08 PM »
Hey there everyone!
I've been doing a little research on how to start teaching in Spain, and I know pretty much how things can work out for me or not... but I would really like some info on how much money you really need to get started?? I'm thinking about Granada or Sevilla, cause I've heard that it's a bit more difficult in the bigger cities like, Barcelona and Madrid... so if anyone out there has some advice I would really really apreciate it!

Thanx a million!

hasta pronto eh!

Hiya Erick94,

Generally what is recommended by other expats is that you come with a cushion of about $6,000-8,000USD. This will help you get started and make it through the first couple of months when you are building your schedule. This amount is what is recommended usually for the big cities like Madrid and Barcelona where the cost of living is high. I don't know what it's like in Seville or Granada as far as costs of renting and such are concerned. Some other member might pop in and offer their opinions on those cities.

Good luck!
